painted my front and rear H emblems to coordinate with the red Hs on the wheels. I did them in a metallic chrome red. I'm not sure it's a bright enough red, but they came out shiny.

Not bad at all. They don't match, and if thats a problem for you I would rather see the wheels red chrome red too, not the other way.

I like that, red and white is good on Hondas. It would fit right in with the stuff in Japan. I can't stand the people that get a red BMW and get a red emblem, looks very cheesy.

Looks pretty good, but would definitely be better if it was a brighter red.

But I must ask - why not just go with OEM Type R "H" badges? Pics of mine below:

mostly, I want to be rid of the silver. I want my car to be white, with black, and some red accents. The few small pieces of silver bug me, the red around silver of the CTR badge dont suit.

I also have the emblemless grill from an SI, so I may go that route if I don't like these red emblems.

Ah ok, fair enough. I think the Si grill up front and the rear badge redone with a brighter chrome red would look pretty slick actually.

I painted it and threw it on once, but turns out it was frost white, not tafetta white (or other way round perhaps), anyway, it was slightly off and really stood out in person. It is sanded and awaiting better weather to repaint

and yeah, time will tell, but the red on the emblems may need to be brighter like the red of the wheels' Hs

You can't go wrong with either choice - looks great both ways to me. Jealous of your 99-00 front end. Much prefer it to the 96-98 look.
